Biography

I am very excited and proud to be one of this year's new additions to Ross Glen School as it is a great school with a lot of fantastic students, staff and parent support.

I had the opportunity to join Ross Glen School this year after 21 years as a teacher and administrator in this School District. I have taught Social Studies, Studies, Phys. Ed and Special Needs programs for 12 years and have been an administrator for the past 9 years. I'm now able to get the best of both worlds, by being able to work with kids in the classroom (and gym) and be in administration.

In addition to having a passion for working with kids, I love to travel and learn about different countries: their people, culture, history, traditions, language and food. I truly love to try and eat as many ethnic foods as possible, but my favorites would probably be Thai, Japanese and Italian foods.

Although I enjoy watching, playing and coaching a number of sports, my favorite sport would be volleyball which I have coached the past 25 years. However I have also recently taken up scuba diving and truly enjoy the adventure of the sport as well as the breathtaking beauty deep below the surface of the water. I also really enjoy animals (they make me smile) and have 2 cats named Winston and Phoebe and a puppy named Libby.

My favorite and most memorable books I read as a student were: Charlotte's Web, My Side of the Mountain, Old Yeller and Lord of the Rings
