I have a passion for working with children and inspiring the excitement for learning. I grew up watching both my mother and grandmother create "magic" in their classrooms and have always had the desire to follow in thier footsteps.
Prior to pursuing my dream of teaching, I spent several years working as a flight attendant and then moved to Maui to work in a private school and to surf. After returning from the tropics to the cold, dry city of Calgary, I completed my Bachelor of Arts degree. Then I took the Master of Teaching Program at the University of Calgary. After completing school, I taught at Elbow Park School in Calgary.
In the summer of 2007, my husband and I moved from Calgary to Medicine Hat and I began teaching grade one here, at Ross Glen. I am excited to be back in the city I grew up in and feel fortunate to now teach at the school that I enjoyed attending for my upper elementary years.
Outside of school, you can usually find me spending time with my husband and the newest additions to our family, Charlie-Bob the beagle and Hobbs the cat.
