Biography

Hello, my name is Leigh Karpinsky and I have had the pleasure of teaching for the past eleven years. In 1997, I completed my Bachelor’s of Education through the University of Winnipeg and eagerly embarked on my new teaching career. The beginning of my career took place in Manitoba where I taught Grade 2/3. The following year, I moved to Kenora, Ontario. While in Ontario, I taught JK- Grade 6, with my primary focus being Grade 1. In 2001, I moved to British Columbia due to my husband's work promotion. In BC, I taught Grade 1 and Reading Recovery. In 2006, I had the privilege of beginning my journey with Ross Glen in Grade 1. The following year, I taught Grade 1/2, and for the past two years I have taught Kindergarten. I want you to know that there is no place I would rather be, and no job that I would rather have.
